I'm a mother to two young children and an occupational therapist with 10 years of experience aiding families through significant life changes. I'm passionate about supporting mothers and caregivers through the transition of becoming a parent and navigating challenges along their parenting journey, unique to them and their families.
Hello, I’m Ellen.
Get To Know Me
I am an Endorsed Mental Health clinician through Medicare (eligible to provide rebates under Mental Health Care Plans) and I have completed specific training to maternal mental health. I am an Accredited provider of Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC or Possums program) which specialises in breastfeeding, mental health, infant sleep and cry-fuss behaviours.
I have created All Seasons Occupational Therapy as a way to support a gap our health system often overlooks - the enormity of the transition new parents experience and the impact parenthood has on all aspects of a person’s life. My goal is to provide a safe space where parents can seek support, advice and information on the specific challenges or issues they face.
My Reason Why
Personally, becoming a mother for the first time rocked my world. I couldn’t understand how I could go from being such a calm, confident professional to feeling so out of my depth in every aspect of this new role! My own experience of motherhood has taught me that each child brings a new experience for a mum and that parents are constantly evolving.
My clinical experience to date has taught me the importance of family relationships, the health and well-being of caregivers and the benefits of timely, person-centred emotional, physical and practical sup
I Provide a Service to All New Parents
It is my firm belief that parents and caregivers should feel comfortable to parent in their unique, authentic way. Every family looks different and no two experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenting will look the same.
In a world where social media and opinions can be overwhelming, I provide a service to new parents that:
Utilises evidence-based practice
Respects that each parent or caregiver will have their own values and needs
Understands the importance of the parent & child relationship in allowing everyone to thrive.
